I found this via another blog and received my free sample today, so this is legit (although there wasn’t much doubt, it’s from the official Escada website, after all) & I thought it was time to pass on the goodies to y’all!
Escada releases limited-edition fragrances pretty regularly, and the current one is called “Moon Sparkle” - supposedly “evoking memories of hot summer party nights filled with a sexy, magical intensity where anything is possible, Moon Sparkle for Women is the essence of summertime. Captured here, to be enjoyed year round, is an luscious mix of irresistible sweet red fruits and delicate florals, infused by a sensuously smooth base of creamy woods.” Or so the description at Sephora says!
Anyhow, I’m usually not really into overly fruity scents, because they have a tendency to turn generic and headache-inducing with my body chemistry, but the notes in this one (Strawberry, Blackcurrant, Citrus Cocktail, Red Apple, Sweet Pea, Freesia, Jasmine, Rose, Raspberry, Musky Notes, Sandalwood, Dry Amber) sounded really intriguing. I was imagining a mix between Comptoir Sud Pacifique’s Mora Bella and Bath & Body Works’ Sweet Pea fragrances - both of which are favorites of mine - and I wasn’t disappointed. I’ve been wearing my sample of Moon Sparkle for about an hour now, and it’s really pleasant… unique, light, fruity with a hint of creamy musk. I may have to invest in a full-size bottle, we’ll see.
So, if you want your own free sample, just fill out the form here at Escada’s website. They’ll send you a cute postcard with one of those little towelettes moistened with the fragrance attached - enough for one or two applications. Enjoy!

I order from ThinkGeek as much as I can afford to; simply put, there’s almost nothing I DON’T want from those guys. Home decor, geeky gifts, toys & games, even freeze-dried astronaut ice cream - it’s the one-stop shop for anyone with nerd tendencies.
Currently, ThinkGeek is running a promo where entering the coupon code “7LBB” nets you a free “Micro Spy Remote” - basically, a tiny keychain-sized universal remote. The Micro Spy Remote’s powers will work on a wide variety of televisions (Sony, Panasonic, Samsung, Toshiba, Sanyo, Aiwa, Mitsubishi, Philips, JVC, Sharp, etc) and its small size will safeguard you against discovery.
The code does require you spending a minimum of $40 for it to work, but trust me, you won’t have any problem finding lots of awesome stuff to fill your cart with. The offer expires 02/28/2008 or until supplies last, so head over to ThinkGeek.com ASAP.

For a limited time, StrawberryNET is offering this megadeal for new customers: spend $25 or more and get a free, full-size Stila Pivotal Skin Liquid Foundation in the shade of your choice. I actually used to wear this foundation, and it retails for $25 so getting it free is a huge freebie - way better than the normal teeny samples you get from other online beauty suppliers that shall remain nameless!
StrawberryNET features a good selection of high-end cosmetics, skincare, haircare, and bath & body products at deep discounts (think Prada skincare at 50% off, and other such too-good-to-be-true deals), so it’ll be pretty easy to find a few worthwhile things to grab in order to reach the $25 minimum for this GWP.
Basically, if you’ve been meaning to buy any sort of beauty product, now’s the time, and StrawberryNET is the place to do it. The free foundation will be added to your cart at checkout - remember to pick the appropriate shade for your skintone… and ENJOY!

I’m addicted to white noise; I pretty much can’t fall asleep without some sort of constant/cycling noise (like a fan or even a hairdryer) in the background. I’ve considered buying one of those pricey “soothing sounds” machines you can find at places like The Sharper Image, or even just the “relaxing music” compilations found at Chopra Center and the like.
Luckily for me and my bank account, Peter Hirschberg has released the “Charityware” program Aire Freshener - it’s got quite a few background natural/soothing sound loops, and even doubles as a CD player program. My favorite is definitely the “Campfire” sound, but there’s at least twenty different ambient sounds to choose from. Direct download is here, so enjoy… and thanks, Peter!

Just think: if you take advantage of VistaPrint’s free offer to receive 250 customized business cards, you can finally start entering (and hopefully winning) all those “Win a FREE LUNCH!” fishbowl raffles you always see at your local sandwich shop. You do have to pay shipping, but I think 250 chances at free lunches is worth the $5 - plus it’s just so damned cool to have your own business cards. You get to choose from a variety of designs - both sleek, modern themes or clip art related to your particular business.
It’s a pretty sweet deal if you’re at all in need of business cards, or just want them for the cool/hmm, this could be useful/hey, free lunch! factor. I’m ordering my 250 up to help promote Posh Freebies, because really… why not? Professionally printed, full-color, completely customized… I’m sold. Are you? Click to to play around with the personalization options and see if you can find a combination worth your five bucks.

LUSH Cosmetics is having their annual end-of-the-year inventory/limited edition clean-out promotion right now: Clean Slate ‘08 lasts until supplies run out, and it’s basically a buy-one-get-on-free kind of deal, specifically aimed at their holiday & limited edition products.
Essentially, the promo boils down to this: Buy any one of their decadent Holiday limited edition items, and you’ll get a free item of equal or lesser value absolutely free (you choose which item at checkout). Any savvy deal-shopper knows that the best time to grab a magazine subscription is when they’re offering free goodies as an incentive. Now is that time when it comes to Playboy Magazine. For a limited time only, you can get a yearlong (12 issues) subscription to the iconic magazine for $15.96 (a little more than $1/issue) AND you’ll get a bonus free DVD with purchase. The DVD is something called “Nude Celebrities”, which seems pretty self-explanatory.
So if you’ve been wanting to treat yourself to some pretty ladies in your mailbox every month, there’s really no better opportunity than this one. This subscription/DVD set also makes a great last-minute Holiday gift purchase, and from my experience, magazine subscriptions are always a big hit. The Jarlsberg Cheese marketing department is conducting an online research survey with a great, no-strings-attached incentive. Basically, if you live in or around New York, Chicago, San Diego, or Los Angeles, you can fill out a short survey to have a $10 igourmet gift card mailed to you as a reward. The survey is short and sweet, without requiring you to sign up for spam or any other overs, so this is the real deal.
If you like Norwegian or just imported cheese in general AND live in the appropriate market, you’d be really silly to not take advantage of this offer. I think igourmet is amazing and am seriously bummed that I don’t live in any of the applicable locations. Click to take the survey and get your free deliciousness!

I hate most foundation. It’s usually heavy, clogs your pores, and can look really cakey if not applied just right. So when I was recently searching for a new foundation, I looked into mineral makeup. It’s extremely popular right now, mostly because it’s supposedly good for your skin, doesn’t cause breakouts, and looks extremely natural while providing amazing coverage.
I was told by almost everyone that I asked that the way to go was Everyday Minerals. Reason being not only that their products have a great reputation, but for new customers, they offer a free sample kit - just pay $3.65 in shipping and you get substantial samples of three foundation shades, one blush shade, and one concealer shade. The best part is that what shades you receive is completely up to you - so you can figure out what works with your skin tone, but don’t have to try out the generic “light, medium, dark” samples that most companies give out. I received my kit earlier this week, and I’m instantly hooked. The coverage is great, the finish is silky-smooth, and it looks natural and not at all cakey. If you’re in the market for new makeup, this is definitely an offer to take advantage of.
